Austin James McIntosh (born 5 November 1987) is an English footballer who played as a defender in the Football League for Mansfield Town.[1] McIntosh, a right back who also played in central defence, began his career at Mansfield Town, and made his Football League debut for the Stags in the closing stages of the 2004–05 season, on 7 May 2005 in the starting eleven away to Leyton Orient in a League Two game which Mansfield lost 2–1.[2] However, that turned out to be his last first-team appearance for the club.[A] He missed most of 2005–06 with an eye injury[citation needed] and was released during the 2006–07 season. McIntosh joined Ilkeston Town of the Northern Premier League in April 2007, but played only once for the club.[3][4] Notes A. a b Soccerbase[5] and ESPNSoccernet[6] attribute an appearance on 28 April 2007 against Barnet, but the Playfair annual has no appearances for McDonald in the 2006–07 season,[7] his Mansfield Town profile, archived in July 2007, mentions no appearance that season,[8] and Neil Brown gives him just the one league appearance.[1] References ^ a b "Mansfield Town : 1946/47 – 2007/08".
